A Festival of Lights and Joy
Dussehra, a vibrant Indian festival, marks the victory of Lord Rama over the demon king Ravana. It’s a time of great joy, celebration, and the triumph of good over evil.
The Legend of Dussehra
The story of Dussehra revolves around Lord Rama, an avatar of Vishnu, and his epic battle against Ravana, the ten-headed demon king. Ravana had abducted Sita, Lord Rama’s wife, and taken her to Lanka, his kingdom. After a fierce battle that lasted for several days, Lord Rama, with the help of his brother Lakshmana and their army, defeated Ravana and rescued Sita.
Celebrating Dussehra at Our School
Our school recently celebrated the vibrant festival of Dussehra with great enthusiasm. The event was filled with colorful decorations, cultural performances, and a sense of companionship. The classrooms were adorned with traditional rangoli patterns, and the stage was beautifully decorated with flowers and lights. The students showcased their talents through a variety of cultural performances. There were dance performances depicting the Ramayana, traditional folk dances, and musical presentations. A giant statue was constructed in the school grounds, and the students gathered around to witness the symbolic victory of good over evil. As the statue was set in flames, the students cheered and celebrated. In Kidz Shaishav School & Montessori Wing, Vedic Girls Sr. Sec.
